The Doeling aka Zarnia

So on Saturday I went over to Rick's house to see his new babies, I really love where he lives (no wonder Kelly has a hard time leaving). The kids were born on April 20th a boy and a girl. They are adorable to say the least! From holding her she feels as if she weighs less than Millie. I took Millie over there to socialize with Kelly and Rick's dogs, she was really good! YAY!

We've not had a photo with the 3 of us as far as I can remember so as I was playing around with the camera we decided to just take a candid picture of us all. Heck I don't even think I've had a picture with Matt in a long time so here is our 2009 photo.

Freedom!

Today, Millie was granted freedom! She now has her very own door and can go in and out as she pleases! The door was installed while I was at work. She's so cute....when I got home it almost felt as if she wanted to show me what she got by going in and out of the door really fast. She'd go outside and run, then run in the house and back out! Hehe....I really feel this will help alleviate the possible neglect she may feel when the baby arrives.

Winery Birthday

On Sunday, I was invited to Nicole's birthday party at the Light Catcher Winery. The weather was great! We sat out on the patio while a jazz band played, it was great plus she had some coconut cake as a birthday cake and the band sang Happy Birthday to her, it was fun!

Going for a Stroll

I bought a frame stroller (for the baby) over the weekend and what better way to try it out than to try it out with MILLIE! (OF COURSE)......I think she REALLY enjoyed it! I put her in it and she didn't even try to get out of it, in fact she laid down and closed her eyes! She's so funny! Matt told me to put a bib on her so I did. HAHA....along with her toy......we went down the street to the mailbox. She's so funny! The picture of the two of us didn't come out great....my eyes came out droopy......oh well.

Stalcup Wedding Shower

Today I went to Katie's wedding shower at D'Vine Wine on Camp Bowie. It was really nice because they did accomodate the pregnant girls, with sparkling grape juice, YUM! Suprisingly enough there were 6 of us! Her wedding is on June 6, 2009 in South Lake Tahoe. I'm staying in a condo with 8 other people, I keep calling it the party condo. Unfortunately, for me I won't be drinking or ziplineing. I know it will be great fun anyway especially since I've never been to Tahoe! I look forward to seeing her get married as well!

Cleaning House for Guests!

So tonight I'm having friends over for dinner to say "good-bye" to Brandy. Unfortunately (for me), she's moving to York, Pennsylvania to work for BAE. I will miss her, since we click so well and just have fun each time we hang out. I laugh about our trip to the river last year. Same on our trip to NYC. We've just had a lot of fun and unfortunately she's now leaving but it's a really good move for her and I wish her the best! OF COURSE! Anyway, we had to clean house and Millie was FAR from helpful! HA!

Baby or Roll

So I've been asked a few times if I'm showing or that they want to see my "baby belly." Well, to me it feels as if I just have a fat roll or just a bit plumper. In fact, I have a girlfriend (won't name any names but you know who you are :D) that was looking at me and thought to herself "gosh Becky's gained some weight," took her a minute to remember that I was pregnant and so she told me, so it does seem as if I have gained weight and not really a baby belly. HEHE! I did go ahead and had Matt take pictures of me since I did have the feeling that I would not be able to see the difference so here are the pictures. After a careful review of my pictures I have realized that I do look different. I cropped my head off since these are after my shower pics, my hair isn't really made up. The first one was taken on February 1st and the last on April 12th.

My Avocado

So as of this past Monday, Baby Stokes is the size of an avocado (or 4 1/2 inches long). Matt and I laugh because the websites tell us what fruit or vegetable the size of the baby is and they differ so much from one to the other. I am 16 weeks along and today I had an appointment. Once again it was great relief to hear the baby's heartbeat! Baby's heartbeat was at 146 BPM. Matt is soo funny he mimics the heartbeat and it just makes me laugh to hear and watch him do it! HAHA! I need to videotape him! HAHA!

Happy Easter!

Flowers are a sure sign of Spring! Karen really enjoyed gardening and did a lot of it around the house from what I know. Well, for the first few years we'd have 1 lily grow out each Spring. The lily is no longer there but this year our rose bushes in our entry way blossomed beautifully this year! I have gorgeous roses! Matt and I went to church service this morning and then grilled out with Rosemary for lunch. It's a rainy, dreary day....so now we're just laying around after our big lunch! Hope everyone has a Happy Easter!

Fort Woof Day!

So today Millie and I went to Fort Woof for the Pooch and Pals Promenade event. She had to be on a leash so that's the reason she did so well, although she did growl at a few dogs overall she was very calm and very well behaved if I say so myself. Kelly and I wanted to get the caricatures so I went ahead and got one with the two of us, we waited in line FOREVER but it was fun watching all the other dogs and Millie got videotaped by Fox News DFW but unfortunately she wasn't shown. Millie and I look like we have similar hair dos??? FUNNY....HAHA!

My Eyeball

So I had an eye appointment today and for the past few years they've been taking a picture of my eyeball. Well, I thought it was pretty cool that this time they offered to give me a copy of my eyes! So here is a picture of my right eye (the left looks the same). I really like where I go which is Eyes Nouveau and specifically go to James for my frames because he is really good at choosing just the right frame for me. The frames I have now have been such a hit! Random people everywhere have commented on my current frames! Stay tuned for my new frames!

Bear Coat

So we found a sale and went ahead and bought this baby coat for Baby Stokes. As I was pulling the stuff out of the bag it occurred to me that we should try it on Millie. HAHA! OH the laughs I had putting this on her. My poor Millie just lets us dress her up like a doll and doesn't ever fight us, she truly is the sweetest dog! (to people!)

Garage Sale Success!

Gosh! What a weekend! I AM super duper exhausted! I can definitely vouch that garage sales are a lot of work (at least the way we do it), but always fun reason I keep doing it! We open at about 7am until about 5pm. Luckily enought we had 4 other neighbors on my block having a garage sale too so needless to say we had a crowd on Saturday. Friday wasn't too hectic but we did have a lot of people. Rosemary said that that's the most traffic she'd seen in all the years we'd done one. We had traffic on our street! Cars parked up and down, it was GREAT! I sold a lot of clothes thank goodness! AND I sold my main goal.....which was a cast iron sink that weighed a ton! We were even willing to give it away because it was so big and bulky, sold for $4! HA!

On Friday morning, I allowed Millie to walk around in the garage while we put stuff out. I asked the girls to keep an eye on her.....well we got a crowd and we all got distracted, next thing I know I call out for Millie and she's not around.......I kept calm until I was out driving around yelling out for her, when the thought that someone in the crowd had taken her kicked in I started tearing up and thinking of what I'd do if she was gone......oh the thoughts were not good, but THANKFULLY in those moments Rosemary called and said that they'd found her! RELIEF!!!!!! She was just focused on exploring and did not respond to her calls (which is normal for her)....she was just about 2 doors down.

In total we sold about $1100! We sold the coon urine for a DIME! HAHA!

Zipper Broke?

So it feels as if almost all my pant zippers have broken....none zip up??? GRRRR My clothes are not fitting right, my shirts look too tight or short.....I just look like a dork right now! I can't wear anything right....it feels as if almost this happened overnight, although my clothes have been feeling snug but as of today they feel super tight.....I put on a larger sized jean today and they fit fine while I was standing the moment I sat down ugh! they felt awful! I don't see much of a difference in my body but it may just be me. On a positive note my baby is growing!
