No Longer a Bump...more like a BALL!

So here is my current picture as of 6/10/09, I am 24 weeks along. According, to my doctor this is a milestone because at 24 weeks baby can survive outside the womb if something were to happen. Our appointment was on Tuesday and I also had my blood drawn to test my liver function....this is because I had hepatitis A when I was 10 years old.

I hurt my back on Wednesday (10th) somehow and it was very painful but I am hanging in there. I've once again gained too much weight but was okayed by my doctor to follow WW, no more milkshakes I guess! Baby is supposed to double in size within the next month.....I need to be very careful and not double in size. Baby can grow I can't.
FYI: Go to May 6th post if you want to see a "before" picture.

South Lake Tahoe Trip!

Over this past weekend I went to Katie and Brett's wedding in South Lake Tahoe. I stayed 1 night in San Francisco with Ashley (my sister in law) and drove to Lake Tahoe the next day.

In Lake Tahoe I stayed with Blyth, Beth, Neil, Kyla, Dana, Tanya and Kim. It was a fun group! The condo was just perfect for the group! It was 3 floors, pool table, hot tub, full kitchen, grill .....it was nice to say the least. Saturday was a gloomy, cold, rainy day so we all pretty much hung around the condo. Neil and Kyla did groceries and decided to cook out for everyone that night....it was GREAT!

Sunday was sunny and pretty THANKFULLY since the wedding was that day. The "condo group" except for Dana and Tanya went hiking up in the mountains. We had a really nice time. I couldn't do the whole hike so I went back down and took a nap on a rock near the river.....it was nice and relaxing. The wedding was sooo sweet, the scenery was just beautiful and you could just hear the waves from the lake during the ceremony.

Fido Fest 2009

Yesterday I volunteered for Fido Fest, which was put together by the West Side Animal League for the shelter. Kelly organized the event and I volunteered, we had a good time. I ended up working in the the dog wash area.....and had many customers. I mainly took pictures since there were several people washing the dogs.

I am now 6 months along and the baby is now the size of a large mango. I'm having a harder time bending down to pick stuff up, getting up and walking fast.....I can do it but my side begins to hurt so I try to remember to not do it. I've ballooned up a little more, but am still feeling good. I feel that the fatigue is returning and I don't like it. The baby is moving more and I've noticed when he moves the most. I sing mariachi music to him in the mornings on my way to work, hope he's enjoying it!

Armed Forces Day

It rained all Saturday morning, so our enthusiasm to go to the airshow died down and we weren't going to go but we found out that it was still going on so we went after midday. We had fun, unfortunately we didn't see as many planes as they were planning to have. Attached is a picture of a mini F-35....pretty funny and the other of Matt and I inside a B52.....it was a fun day.....I've had a belly laughing week for some reason!

Sono Picture.....

It's not mine....but thought I'd share since it's a little odd looking and I couldn't get mine to scan right (too dark).....wonder if this is a 3D? How did they get the eyes like that? And supposedly this is at 21 weeks, which is where I'm at.

I SAW the baby kick and I felt the baby move in a long smooth motion (possibly a somersault). Matt was also able to feel the baby move over the weekend....it was cool!

It's a Boy!.........or a Girl!

So today we went to our 2nd trimester sonogram and saw the baby's body parts AND we celebrated our 2nd year wedding anniversary! All is intact and looking good. Baby Stokes is currently 4 oz., 9 inches long and 148 BPM. She's been kicking a lot. I started feeling her this past Saturday and ever since then I've been more aware of the movements. During the sonogram he was moving a lot! Very active. We got pictures of Baby Stokes' feet....very funny but the pics didn't scan very good. I'll try to post something decent SOON!

Again, we won't be finding out the sex of the baby and I really had NO temptation of finding out what the baby was during the sonogram. Matt and I spent a great anniversary! Saw our baby, found a new cool restaurant (Habanero's off Basswood) and bought something cool for the house!

OH and I've gained 9 lbs since last visit! YIKES!!! A little TOO MUCH! I'm planning to slow that down!

Large Tomato

Here is my current pic and my February pic side by side. So baby is the size of a large tomato this week. I am currently 19 weeks (5 months) along so about 1/2 way done. All has been good, except getting dressed. Definitely been a challenge lately. I've not felt the baby move although I am in the time frame where I should be feeling the baby move anytime soon! I look forward to it! Next week we get to see the baby and we're pretty excited about that! We will also be celebrating our 2nd year wedding anniversary!
