Oklahoma is OK

I've been in Oklahoma City for the past 2 days for some hazardous materials training. I will be leaving here on Friday and will be driving to Amarillo. HOPEFULLY, the training will be over early on Friday (it's supposed to be my Friday off). Saturday I'm having a baby shower hosted by one of my best bud's, Krissy. I look forward to seeing some old friends and getting together with them! Matt and Millie are supposed to be driving up on Thursday.....I miss them....don't like being away but I really had to come update my training. I haven't done much here.....went to the mall yesterday and that's about it.

I am 29 weeks along about to hit the 30 mark! WOW! 10 more weeks to go. I'm having troubles sleeping, but I'm blaming that to being in a hotel. Baby is the size of a butternut squash and about 2 1/2 lbs.

Millie loves going on car rides.....if I say "let's go!" she knows what that means....in fact Matt and I make it a point to not say "let's go" to each other if Millie isn't going because she gets sooo excited and I don't like tricking her. She just cracks me up when she sticks her head out the window.......and just looks around so much that it almost seems as if she's overwhelmed. She loves going though.

Grandpa Nino

My dad (Bernardino aka Nino) was visiting us for the past week. We had a really nice time but it all ended last night when he left. I feel guilty because I didn't take him to very many places because I've been working. I took some afternoons off to spend time with him. He did a lot of cooking for us and he did some gardening.

As for Baby Stokes, I just entered the 3rd trimester! UNKNOWINGLY TOO! I haven't been following up on the weekly updates.......baby's kicks have become stronger and unfortunately I won't be getting any more sonograms.

Making Room....

So over the weekend Matt and I decided to "clean up" meaning he finished up all his mini home improvement tasks. I cleaned the house.......I hadn't been doing it lately because of the chemicals and haven't really asked Matt to do all the thorough cleaning at one time he's been doing bits and pieces. So for me to do the whole house at one time feels great. I even cleaned the entry way lamp, windows, baseboards, blinds.......

Anyway, Matt put the crib together. As of right now the crib is in our room. We are not completely planning what we're going to do, we're just going to do what works for us. I've included a picture of the crib and Matt.

Super Kick!

So I like to include pics with all my blogs, makes it more interesting but I've made an exception for this one by including a random silly picture. Anyway......I normally go to bed before Matt and he normally lays there with me until I've wound down and on the verge of falling asleep. Last night the baby was beginning to move so I told Matt to place his hand on my belly. So we continued to talk and all of a sudden the baby kicked the hardest he's ever kicked. Matt jerked back so far that I thought he was going to fall off the bed! HEHEE OH IT was sooo funny! I was belly laughing....hehee! Still cracks me up! He said that it scared him because it felt like a punch! hehe

No Longer a Bump...more like a BALL!

So here is my current picture as of 6/10/09, I am 24 weeks along. According, to my doctor this is a milestone because at 24 weeks baby can survive outside the womb if something were to happen. Our appointment was on Tuesday and I also had my blood drawn to test my liver function....this is because I had hepatitis A when I was 10 years old.

I hurt my back on Wednesday (10th) somehow and it was very painful but I am hanging in there. I've once again gained too much weight but was okayed by my doctor to follow WW, no more milkshakes I guess! Baby is supposed to double in size within the next month.....I need to be very careful and not double in size. Baby can grow I can't.

South Lake Tahoe Trip!

Over this past weekend I went to Katie and Brett's wedding in South Lake Tahoe. I stayed 1 night in San Francisco with Ashley (my sister in law) and drove to Lake Tahoe the next day.

In Lake Tahoe I stayed with Blyth, Beth, Neil, Kyla, Dana, Tanya and Kim. It was a fun group! The condo was just perfect for the group! It was 3 floors, pool table, hot tub, full kitchen, grill .....it was nice to say the least. Saturday was a gloomy, cold, rainy day so we all pretty much hung around the condo. Neil and Kyla did groceries and decided to cook out for everyone that night....it was GREAT!

Sunday was sunny and pretty THANKFULLY since the wedding was that day. The "condo group" except for Dana and Tanya went hiking up in the mountains. We had a really nice time. I couldn't do the whole hike so I went back down and took a nap on a rock near the river.....it was nice and relaxing. The wedding was sooo sweet, the scenery was just beautiful and you could just hear the waves from the lake during the ceremony.
